Emily started with us just been with us almost two months now, and has already established herself as a great design intern. Coming to us from Pratt Institute, she has completed a bevy of designs for us from postcards to stickers. We sat down with Emily to learn a few things about her.
Where do you come to us from?
I was born in New York, but I grew up in the small, relatively unknown town of Chatham, in Northern New Jersey.
How did you end up at Zemoga?
I met Dan and Briana at the Pratt internship fair, and got the job that way. It worked out great because the office is so close to school.
What kind of work have you done here?
I’ve designed a notepad; the samples just arrived so that’s pretty cool. I’ve also designed the Pixels & Pills blog and YouTube page as well as a postcard and stickers for coffee bags.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation, but I like this kid’s answer too:
“I’m gonna be a ninja ghost super hero with powers of ice.”
What do you do for fun when you’re not at work?
Museum-hop, read, go to the movies, hang out with friends, and try to work on personal design projects. I’m hoping to make a demo reel since I want to get into motion design.
If the Internet and TV didn’t exist, what would you spend most of your time doing?
Read a lot more, and travel, if I had the money. I’m very interested in playing musical instruments; I played the violin for about eleven years of my life and if I had the time to practice, I think I would still be doing it. I briefly played the guitar and piano, and I’ve always wanted to play the drums.
