One of our favorite clients to work with are the talented folks at the Mozilla Corporation, the brains behind the outstanding Firefox browser and stalwarts for Open Source and Accessibility. Fun people and fun projects are always the order of the day when we partner with them. So when Mozilla was looking to introduce their highly anticipated Firefox 4 browser to the Latin American community, who do you think they called?

Our writers, directors, illustration and motion graphics teams dove in deep, creating a freakin’ awesome and engaging video with original characters that tipped their hat and spoke to the cultural sensibilities of South American audiences (some of the fastest growing and quick to adopt markets that you can walk to from here).  All this was achieved while maintaining the fun and clear communication standards that Mozilla is famous for. The video project was a “soup to nuts” effort by Zemoga, starting with script development, continuing through character design and finishing with animation and compositing. The result was a turnkey solution for Firefox that reached it’s targeted audience with a visual language that is worth a look-see. You can see here at http://www.vimeo.com/22449926 And as an added touch of sales chutzpah, you can and take a pretty cool behind the scenes time lapsed video peak at vimeo.com/22465644.

Just when we thought that Mozilla projects couldn’t get any more fun, we were tasked with working on FIREFOX LIVE, a microsite dedicated to the antics of two ridiculously cute red panda cubs (aka “Firefoxes”) adopted by the Mozilla foundation. Zemoga provided technology solutions for the highly covered and incredibly popular microsite, which featured live views of the cubs’ den. The project did present some big challenges (managing video feeds from multiple cameras and handling the enormous amount of traffic the site generated) but the end result was spectacular – over 500,000 hours of video watched and incredibly heightened awareness for the plight of red panda’s around the world. While FIREFOX LIVE promotion is over, you can get a little taste of the furry fun at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLej-ZPRBNU&feature=related.
