In a few weeks, Kimberly (@CommDuCoeur) and I will be accompanying our Digital Idol Tech Karaoke Winner to Bogota.

I’ve never been to South America before and I am super excited to go.

In preparing for the trip, I sent out and e-mail to a few people I know who just so happen to be from Bogota – including a dear college friend and Fernando, who runs Cafecito Bogota, right down the block from my apartment in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

While I might not know a lot about Bogota, I know that the food at Cafecito Bogota is great.  When I go for brunch – which, given the proximity, is often – I love the unlimited Colombian coffee, the delicious drinks made with sparkling wines and fresh juices and, most of all, the delicious “hangover” soup made with a light broth and poached eggs, with a side of plantains and arepas.

The Z-team will be posting about some of our favorite Colombian places in NYC over the next few weeks.  What are some of yours?
