We’ve written about Andres Carne De Res before. It’s the de rigeur stop for anyone visiting Bogota for the first time. And it’s easy to become overwhelmed when you are presented with an entrance like this:
Or food like this:
But with repeated visits, the initial spectacle makes less impact. What continues to impress though is the attention to detail. Andres makes sure that something as simple as an informational sign becomes a piece of art:
And that every part of the restaurant/bar/experience is filled with beautiful art, exciting imagery and engaging content:
It struck me that Andres is actually a perfect analogy for a well designed website.
Take a look at your own online presence. Do you engage consumers with a spectacle when they first visit the site (maybe great site design or a truly unique Flash piece or something even more ambitious)? More importantly, do you fill your site with great content and visuals that engage the consumer even after frequent visits to your site?
